About Tour DeVine
Our History
Tour DeVine was launched in May 2016 with the goal of providing the best and most unique wine tour in the Willamette Valley. Since then, we have continued to expand our tour offering, partnering with more and more fantastic wineries and increasing our tour customization options to bring you an even more special and personalized experience. One thing that hasn’t changed is our focus on safety, fun, and incredible customer service: you are taken care of throughout the entire day, from your initial safety briefing and scenic helicopter rides, to your return at our hangar in McMinnville.

Our Pilots
All tours are operated by Precision, LLC. Based in McMinnville, Oregon, Precision has been providing wonderful, friendly service since 1983, and has been flying wine tours since Tour DeVine’s beginning in 2016. Precision takes pride in its attention to detail and safety. We operate off of a Part 135 Certificate, which allows us to fly Commercial Charter Operations with Helicopters and Airplanes. Commercial Charter Operations are highly regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with extremely high standards for safety, maintenance, training, and minimum flight hours for pilots.
Our Helicopters
When you embark on your tour, you can expect to fly in either an AS350 (often called an A-Star) or a Bell 206 LongRanger. Both aircraft are comfortable, spacious, and safe.
- Seat four (up to five) passengers comfortably
- Plenty of cargo space for wine purchases
- Operated by skilled, experienced, and friendly pilots
The Willamette Valley
Home to two-thirds of Oregon’s wineries and vineyards, the Willamette Valley is often called the next Napa Valley of the United States. Oregon’s leading wine region has hundreds of wineries, historic vineyards, and boutique tasting rooms. Out-of-state visitors and locals alike love the incredible wines and panoramic views.
The Wine
Oregon is well recognized as one of the premier Pinot Noir producers in the world, but many people don’t know that the Willamette Valley actually cultivates an exceptionally wide range of wines. You’ll have the opportunity to taste a broad variety of both reds and whites. We have worked hard to pick wineries that feature a rich assortment of high-quality wines, including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gamay Noir, Gewürztraminer, sparkling wine, and even some Syrah, Cabernet, and Merlot, as well as many other varieties.
How Our Tours Work
We offer three different helicopter wine tours in the Willamette Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA). Each tour is focused on a sub-region within the Willamette Valley, including Eola-Amity Hills, McMinnville, Chehalem Mountains, Dundee Hills, Ribbon Ridge, and Yamhill-Carlton.
Our season runs from May to October and operates on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Safety and passenger care are our top priorities.
Nothing is more important to us than our passengers’ safety and comfort. That’s why our team maintains our helicopters with the highest level of precision and attention to detail. Mechanics perform meticulous safety checks before every flight, and all tours start with a quick but thorough safety briefing.
In addition to safety, we’ve also done everything we can to make our helicopters comfortable, fun, and relaxing to ride in, while offering incredible views of the landscape below from every seat.
